Programmed For Success

To all parents🙏
There was a very brilliant boy, he always scored 100% in Science.
Got Selected? for IIT and scored excellent in IIT.
Went to the University of California for MBA.
Got a high paying job in America and settled there.
Married a Beautiful Girl.
Bought a 5 room big house and luxury cars.
He had everything that make him successful but a few years ago he committed suicide after shooting his wife and children.
WHAT WENT WRONG?
California Institute of Clinical Psychology Studied his case and found “what went wrong?”
The researcher met the boy’s friends and family and found that he lost his job due to America’s economic crisis and he had to sit without a job for a long time.
After even reducing his previous salary amount, he didn’t get any job.
Then his house installment broke and he and his family lost the home.
They survived a few months with less money and then he and his wife together decided to commit suicide.
He first shot his wife and children and then shot himself.
The case concluded that the man was Programmed for success but he was not trained for handling failures.
Now let’s come to the actual question.
What are the habits of highly successful people?
First of all, I want to tell you that if you have achieved everything, there is a chance to lose everything, nobody knows when the next economic crisis will hit the world.
The best success habit is getting trained for handling failures.
I want to request every parent, please do not only program your child to be successful but teach them how to handle failures and also teach them proper lessons about life.
Learning high-level science and maths will help them to clear competitive exams but a knowledge about life will help them to face every problem.
Teach them about how money works instead of teaching them to work for money.
Help them in finding their passion because these degrees will not help them in the next economic crisis and we don’t know when the next crisis will hit the world.
“Success is a lousy teacher. Failure teaches you more.”
Please share with other parents.

Stay Safe….

PATIENCE: A Lesson OF Life.

I walked into a hotel and after going through the menu, I ordered some food.
After about 20 mins a group of guys and ladies walked in & ordered theirs.
To my dismay, these folks got served first. I watched as they began to eat & laugh heartily.
I even overheard one of them bragging about how connected he is to everyone in the hotel and I felt mocked.
I decided to leave. Unable to take it anymore , I called the waiter. He calmly told me: “Yours is a special order, being prepared by the chief chef himself.
Their orders were prepared hurriedly by students on attachment because the top chefs are busy with yours Sir. That’s why they were served first. Please have some juice as you wait”. I calmed down & waited patiently.
Shortly after, my meal was served by 6 waiters. Unknown to me, the owner of the hotel (who happened to be an old long lost friend of mine) saw me when I entered and decided to surprise me.
She changed my simple meal to a five-star meal. The party at the other table were shocked.
They couldn’t stop staring. Suddenly they were the ones murmuring, asking why they didn’t get that kind of service and meal.
Such is life! Some people are ahead of you and are eating now, laughing at you and talking about how they are smarter, wiser and better than you, how they are well connected, blessed, have money and are enjoying life .
You are waiting tirelessly wondering why it’s taking so long to breakthrough, You endure mockery and humiliation.
Maybe you have contemplated suicide, gone throughout depression or suffered severe mental anxiety.
Do not worry! The owner of the world has seen you & doesn’t want you to be served a simple meal like those making a mockery of you. You’re waiting long because yours is a special meal.
It takes time to prepare. And only chief chefs prepare them.
Wait for your meal and relax .

EVERY FACE YOU SEE IS FACING SOMETHING

Last week, I was at a bank to use the ATM. Two men were there. Out of the two of them, one was sneezing and coughing profusely and at the same time. I pitied him and I was ventured to respond everytime he sneezes by saying’ bless you sir, take care sir’ as a mark of sympathizing with him.

However, the other man with us was mute, unmoved and unconcerned. I was like, what is wrong with this man that he can’t even sympathize with a fellow being?

How can someone be sneezing and coughing like this beside you with water almost coming out of his eyes and you can’t even utter a word to show your human feeling!

The man that was sneezing looked at me and looked at the man and he said, this man is so uncaring. He can’t even show sympathy….’ and I replied him not to be bothered.

Few minutes later, this second man who was unmoved by what was happening around him turned and came to meet the one sneezing and was asking him something by using sign language. It was then we both realized that the man is both deaf and dumb.

So even if you are sneezing from morning till night, he may not hear it.

As he was trying to ask us something by using hand to describe, we could not understand what he was asking. We could not give him accurate answer and I can see anger or sense of feeling bad written all over him and I know he might be seeing us as ‘wicked ‘ people for not been able to provide answer to his problem just as we were seeing him when he could not sympathize with the other man.

Lesson

You know what I learnt from that incident that day?

It further confirmed that ‘Every face you see is facing something’

👉Don’t be too quick to think people don’t want to help you, people don’t want to give you what you request for,
people don’t want to visit you, people don’t want to check on you, etc.
If you know what people are passing through, you might eventually pity them and conclude that, your situation is better than theirs.

👉Can you compare coughing and sneezing with deafness and dumbness?

Take it easy on people; don’t be too quick to judge their actions and inactions.

Remember, every face you see, no matter how beautiful, handsome, glowing, or radiant that face might look, it is definitely facing something.

Just endeavor to be kind, to be good and to be nice to everyone around you.

No doubt, as you are facing your own issues so also others are facing theirs.

Don’t expect too much from people.

Always remember,
every face you see is facing something!

“I don’t like you!”

I INTERVIEWED A PERSON WHO HATED ME

Six years ago a guy looked at me face to face, and boldly told me; “I don’t like you!”

I immediately fired a response, I asked him that day; “Thank you for the honest feedback, but those people you like, how has it made their life better? How does your liking people pay their bills or take a bank loan? My brother keep your like, I need God’s like And that’s what guarantees my future.

ONE day I joined a CEO friend of mine in an interview Panel to recruit some new staff, it was a long session.
As we returned from a coffee break to continue the hectic interview session, here was this same guy walked in with his grey jacket and CV coming for the interview.

Our eyes kissed by fluke, we immediately recognised each other; “the world is indeed spherical”, I soliloquized.

He felt very uncomfortable through out the interview, one could clearly see the volcanic eruption ongoing in his whole nervous system, he even mistook his date of birth for his last date of employment.

It wasn’t yet my turn to ask him questions so I allowed everyone to take their turns with him and deliberately opted to interview him last.

When it got to my turn, the first thing I said was, “I LIKE YOU so much, you look to me like a brilliant and intelligent person, but it seems you are not doing well now because something bothers you, true?”

“That’s very correct Sir!” He responded.

“Ok look at me straight in the eye, I was never offended that day, it is very normal that sometimes as humans you just don’t like certain people, but I wasn’t bothered either, because whether you liked me or not, it was inconsequential to my life and my success path – as you can see, fate has brought you to my lair”

I stood up and beckoned him to come and embrace me, everyone on the panel at this point were at sea – wondering if we had expeditiously recast an interview session to a Hollywood movie scene.

He hugged me so long and deeply that I felt it. Then I told him, “now get your confidence back bro and answer the questions like a Pro Shark that you are, we all burst into laughter, everyone suddenly liked him and the room became livelier – the interview became more like a discussion, well to cut the long story short, he got the job!

Lessons:

  1. Be careful how you treat people when they appear to be in their vulnerable state, your next level may be hanging in their balance; somewhere in the future.
  2. If you dislike someone, it is not their fault, it is YOUR FAULT, work on yourself to find good in people and reinvent your Mind to see everyone as likeable.
  3. Don’t spew hatred vocally just because it came into your heart, you may say it to someone who will keep it forever and use it against you when you find yourself in your own low moments and need them.
  4. Learn to forgive, overlook people’s dislike and hatred for you, dont punish people just because you have the position and privilege to do so, bless them rather – that’s how you court God’s blessings, favour and protection.
  5. Share this post, someone needs it to heal from their past burdens of unforgiveness they have been carrying which has been hindering their promotions and inhibiting God’s blessings flowing their way!
  6. Don’t ever think that you are the most outspoken person or you can always speak for others. Take caution and respect others in all you do because you may still need them.
  7. Don’t go about telling people that you are this or that, let them truly see that in you. You may not be the best except you are tested.

_Addendum: I don’t know the writer but the article can cure our unnecessary hatred for anyone

The Evil You Do

A woman baked bread for members of her family and an extra one for a hungry passerby. She kept the extra bread on the Window-sill, for whosoever would take it away. Everyday, a hunch-back came and took away the bread. Instead of expressing gratitude, he muttered the following words as he went his way: “The evil you do remains with you: The good you do, comes back to you!” This went on, day after day. Everyday, the hunch-back came, picked up the bread and uttered the words: “The evil you do, remains with you: The good you do, comes back to you!” The woman felt irritated. “Not a word of gratitude,” she said to herself… “Everyday this hunch-back utters this jingle! What does he mean? “One day, out of despiration, she decided to do away with him. “I shall get rid of this hunch-back,” she said. And what did she do? She added poison to the bread she prepared for him! As she was about to keep it on the window sill, her hands trembled. “What is this I am doing?” she said. Immediately she threw the bread into the fire, prepared another one and kept it on the window- sill. As usual, the hunch-back came, picked up the bread and muttered the words: “The evil you do, remains with you: The good you do, comes back to you!” The hunch-back proceeded on his way, blissfully unaware of the war raging in the mind of the woman. Everyday, as the woman placed the bread on the window-sill, she offered a prayer for her son who had gone to a distant place to seek his fortune. For many months, she had no news of him.. She prayed for his safe return. That evening, there was a knock on the door. As she opened it, she was surprised to find her son standing in the doorway.. He had grown thin and lean. His garments were tattered and torn. He was hungry, starved and weak. As he saw his mother, he said, “Mom, it’s a miracle I’m here. While I was but a mile away, I was so hungry that I collapsed. I would have died, but just then an old hunch-back passed by. I begged of him for a small part of his food, and he was kind enough to give me whole bread. “As he gave it to me, he said, “This is what I eat everyday: today, I shall give it to you, for your need is greater than mine!” “As the mother heard those words, her face turned pale and red. She leaned against the door for support. She remembered the poisoned bread that she had made that morning. Had she not burnt it in the fire, it would have been eaten by her own son, and he would have lost his life! It was then that she realized the significance of the words: “The evil you do remains with you: The good you do, comes back to you!” Do good and; Don’t ever stop doing good, even if it’s not appreciated at that time.

⚜ 21 N U G G E T S of L I F E  ⚜

Learn to ignore and overlook many things if you truly want happiness in life because the easiest way to a miserable life is to think that everybody is talking about you. ⚜2⃣⚜

Never allow anyone to steal your joy from you. ⚜3⃣⚜

What people say behind your back is none of your business as long as you are true to yourself. Never worry yourself about that. ⚜4⃣⚜

Sometimes minding your own business does not keep people out of your business. ⚜5⃣⚜

No matter your situation in life people will always talk. You can never stop people from talking about you, what you can do is to stop giving them what to talk about. ⚜6⃣⚜

There is a time limit for every rumor in life. Never allow freelance broadcasters put your life on hold. Do what makes you happy. Anyone who cannot feel your pain, has no right to judge you in life. Seventy percent of those who talk bad about you behind your back, wish to be like you. ⚜7⃣⚜

When people can’t be like you they try to bring you down and condemn what you have. Those without money will sarcastically say money is not everything in life. (Is poverty anything?) ⚜8⃣⚜

Never allow anyone to put you in a position of depression and self pity in life. Those whose life has no joy will always find every means to remove happiness from other people’s life. ⚜9⃣⚜

If there is the GRACE of GOD in your life, then enemies are inevitable. If no one has ever gossiped or talked bad about you, it means nothing good has ever happened to you. ⚜🔟⚜

Never feel bad when old friends become new enemies. They are just tired of pretending to be friends. ⚜1⃣1⃣⚜

Never allow the opinions of people who didn’t see your tears stop your laughter in life. 😬You don’t owe anybody an explanation to be happy. ⚜1⃣2⃣⚜

Never see yourself through the eyes of those who don’t value you.
To be beautiful means to be yourself. To stand out is to be outstanding. You do not need to be accepted by others. You just need to accept yourself. ⚜1⃣3⃣⚜

Never beg anyone to accept you for who you are. Anything you acquire through begging will require begging to maintain or retain. ⚜1⃣4⃣⚜

Be humble but selective. Being selective doesn’t mean you are arrogant or proud. It simply means you know your worth. If you are conscious of your personality avoid too much familiarity. ⚜1⃣5⃣⚜

Sometimes when you treat people too much like celebrities, they end up treating you like an ordinary person. You are equally important. ⚜1⃣6⃣⚜

Never downgrade yourself while trying to upgrade anybody in life. Anyone who sees you like an option doesn’t deserve to be a priority in your life. ⚜1⃣7⃣⚜

The dream of a fool is for everybody to become a bloody fool like himself. Avoid negative people if you have a dream. Those without mission will say your vision is just an illusion. ⚜1⃣8⃣⚜

Negative minds will never give you a positive life. Anyone who is always reminding you about what is wrong with you has a personal problem which he/she wants to take out on you. ⚜1⃣9⃣⚜

Most people spend half of their entire life analysing the faults in other people’s life, when their own lives need urgent repairs. ⚜2⃣0⃣⚜

Never worry yourself about enemies and friends, because everybody in your life will eventually fall into one of the two categories. ⚜2⃣1⃣⚜

Some will hate you and some will love you. Loving you or hating you are both in your favour.
When people love you, you live peacefully and happily in their hearts, and when people hate you, you become the landlord in their head living painfully in their brain everyday and giving them sleepless nights. ⚜ ⚜ ⚜ ⚜

Be a Blessing to someone

You are not home yet!

After forty years of faithful service to the Lord as a missionary to Africa, Henry Morrison and his wife were returning to New York. As the ship neared the dock, Henry said to his wife, “Look at that crowd. They haven’t forgotten about us”. However, unknown to Henry, the ship also carried President Teddy Roosevelt, returning from a big game hunting trip in Africa. Roosevelt stepped from the boat, with great fanfare, as people were cheering, flags were waving, bands were playing, and reporters waiting for his comment, Henry and his wife slowly walked away unnoticed. They hailed a cab, which took them to the one bedroom apartment which had been provided by the mission board.

Over the next few weeks, Henry tried but failed to put the incident behind him. He was sinking deeper into depression when one evening, he said to his wife, “This is all wrong. This man comes back from a hunting trip and everybody throws a big party. We give our lives in faithful service to God for all these many years, but no one seems to care.”

His wife cautioned him that he should not feel this way. Henry replied “I know you’re right, but I just can’t help it. It just isn’t right.”

His wife then said, “Henry, you know God doesn’t mind if we honestly question Him. You need to tell this to the Lord and get this settled now. You’ll be useless in His ministry until you do.”

Henry Morrison then went to his bedroom, got down on his knees and, shades of Habakkuk, began pouring out his heart to the Lord. “Lord, you know our situation and what’s troubling me. We gladly served you faithfully for years without complaining. But now God, I just can’t get this incident out of my mind…”

After about ten minutes of fervent prayer, Henry returned to the living room with a peaceful look on his face. His wife said “It looks like you’ve resolved the matter. What happened?”

Henry replied, “The Lord settled it for me. I told Him how bitter I was that the President received this tremendous homecoming, but no one even met us as we returned home. When I finished, it seemed as though the Lord put His hand on my shoulder and simply said, ‘But Henry, you are not home yet!'” (copied)

It is not yet time to congratulate ourselves neither is it time for us to tell ourselves that we have done enough. Heaven is the home and as long as we are not yet there, we have to keep pressing on.

God help us!

Money is like chicken

Money is like chicken
To enjoy a chicken don’t kill it.

Instead feed it and it will lay eggs. When it does, don’t eat all the eggs laid. Eat 1 or 2..

let the remaining eggs hatch into chicks then feed them too.
When they mature,  eat 1 chicken and repeat the processes and you will have both eggs and chicken to eat.

But no matter how hungry you are don’t eat the initial chicken before it starts laying eggs.
If you eat the initial chicken you will be full today but hungry tomorrow and for ever.

Wait for the chicken to lay eggs. That initial wait may make you hungry today, but tomorrow and for ever you will be full.
It’s just a principle of life take or leave it the choice is yours.

Can Do!

ONE FRIDAY morning an eager young Stanford University student stood before Louis Janin, a well-known mining engineer. He was seeking employment. Janin informed him, “All I need right now is a stenographer.”
The young man said eagerly, “Fine, I’ll take the job.”
Then he added, “But I can’t come back until Tuesday.” Janin agreed, and the next Tuesday the young man reported for work as scheduled.
Janin asked him, “Why is it that you couldn’t come back before Tuesday?”
The young man replied, “Because I had to rent a typewriter and learn how to use it.”

The young typist was Herbert Hoover, whose can-do attitude eventually led him through the doors of the White House to become one of America’s presidents.

By taking shortcuts—you risk shortchanging your future. Your unwillingness to learn today will leave you unprepared for tomorrow’s opportunities.

No skill you learn will ever be lost. Gleaning knowledge and learning new skills builds confidence and sharpens your mind. Successful people have one thing in common: They never quit learning!

Furthermore, God calls prepared people, so prepare yourself. The Bible says: “Tune your ears to wisdom, and concentrate on understanding. Cry out for insight, and ask for understanding. Search for them as you would for silver…
Then you will understand what is right, just, and fair, and you will find the right way to go. For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will fill you with joy”
(Proverbs 2:2-10 NLT).

Study The Bible

1. Dear choir,  if you don’t study the Bible, you’re in the music industry, not music ministry. You’ll sing nonsense and call it “gospel” like we do today. You’ll be entertaining instead of ministering… You better choose one of the two.

2. Dear usher, if you don’t study the Bible, you’re a traffic warden or better still, a party protocol. You simply maintain foot traffic in the assembly.

3. Dear Bible study leader, if you don’t study the Bible, you’re an ordinary public speaker, not a minister. You’ll preach rubbish.

4. Dear children department cordinator, if you don’t study the Bible, you’re just a social juvenile worker or betterstill a nanny.

5. Dear drama group member, if you don’t study the Bible, you’re just doing Nollywood, no life!

6. Dear instrumentalist and technical unit member, if you don’t study the Bible, you’re just a D Jay, a very noisy one for that matter.

7. Dear Prophet, if you don’t study the Bible, you’re just a soothsayer. You’ll be predicting Arsenal vs Leicester city, not anything relevant to God’s kingdom on earth.

8. Dear Christian writer, if you don’t study the Bible, you’re just D. O. Fagunwa, Chinua Achebe, or the writer of “Eze goes to school.” You’ll write for fiction, not for the Kingdom.

9. Dear Christian motivational speaker, if you don’t study the Bible, you’re just a psychologist.

10. Dear church members, if you don’t study the Bible, you’ll be mislead by false doctrine and heretic teachings.

11. No matter how anointed you are, if you don’t study the Bible, you’re just a spiritualist, not a spiritual person. The Bible is not meant for preachers and teachers alone.

Read your Bible pray everyday. Many are “merely engaged” by churches, but aren’t ”imparted” and the result is futility. Check well before you call it ministration.

May the Lord Help us in Jesus name.
